okies......this was a movie i DIDN'T have any desire to
see, i was dragged by friends....and NOT by the
hair.....ehehehe

anyway....i was pleasantly surprised, and well i will go out
on a limb here and say....Nic Cage and Alison Lohman (she
played his daughter) are in the running for an oscar
nomination.....just amazing preformances....funny, sad, you
name it.....excellent

Matchstick Men

i stopped giving a poo about movies, but for some reason I
was reading about this one, and watching our friend Ebert
rave about it.

That and "Lost in Translation" are supposed to be Oscar
calibre..

not like that means anything anymore, but whatever

the link to IMDB is not a positive review. i think it's
important to show both sides of reviews.

in the end you have to make up your own mind about what
you'll pay for....as i said this was the last movie i'd see
this weekend....however i'm glad i went!

btw RIDLEY the SCOTT made this one.....i think that will
peak a few peepz interest right there....ehehhehe

Nice one, I saw the ad for MM the other day and it caught my
attention. It looks interesting enough, I don't mind N.Cage
at all so I'll be sure to catch that one on the big screen

i'm a CAGE fan as well....but some movie trailers really
don't 'grab' me the way some OTHER (insert scary) ones do!

btw (this is an ASIDE)....awesome Photo there in your
avatar......i just bought AE's album from which i NOW know
your name is in reference to. i loved the album, never
thought i'd say that about AE. ehehhe

*passing up good movies and putting out shitty ones.

well there are SOME ridley scott fan's aboot, as well as
peepz who don't like him. i think he's a decent director,
and he did a pretty good job in a pretty NON action
film...IMO

funk....glad you liked it.....ehhehe.....can you believe his
'daughter' is really a 24 yr old......i thought she was
FANTASTIC!

"can you believe his 'daughter' is really a 24 yr old"

Phew, cause I was thinking throughout the movie how cute she
was... guess those thoughts are ok now! :)

yeah, she really did do a good job... I was also impressed
with Nic Cage... I've never been a huge fan of his, and
still aren't, but I thought his performance was really
good... I also have been meaning to watch Adaptation for a
while... it looks good!

yep possible oscar nom for Nic, and i think for sure for
that young actress!
