Kraftwerk - Tour de France

I just bought it, and it's ACE! These old boys of
electronica really know how to do that WARM, smooth sound,
without loosing its electronic crisp in the making.
Definitely one of the top ten album of this
year.....rrrrrrrrrecommended!

2 for 222 på Platekompis? ;)
Nice to hear that they still have the touch. Guess I'll buy
it aswell.

:) Kjøpte den på Platekompaniet... og betalte nok mer enn
som så... Yeah it's great, and the warmest sounding
electronica-record I've heard in ages!

I also bought a copy of LFO's
new single "Freak". It's as insane as "Tied up"... It makes
me want to party and go absolutely bonkers! Bring on the
sixandninety!!! ;)

it's a disappointment. Almost all their previous albums are
better than this one.

I know exactly what you mean by ''warm and smooth'', they
put me in a nice place.

Pocket Calculator > everything, ever.

I think it's shit. Seriously, I can't understand why people
rave about this album...imagine, if you will, that Kraftwerk
was NOT written on the front cover, but a new random
band...now you'd see its blandness, its reptitiveness (note,
boring, not "hypnotizing") and its massive cheesyness. The
sounds are bland, the beats are pathetic, the tunes are
cheesy, and it goes on and on and on and on.

Oh, and I loved Computer World and The Mix. Thought they
were dead catchy. This new release is just dead.

It's soo easy to diss-miss things, I could say 'the mix' is
complete shit with its references to swingbeat! The
internet is full of bogus opinons, Kraftwerk make technical
music, they made it. Maybe they didn't use the cheesy
granualar preset tools that you knobs use and think you are
'intelligent'. If it wasn't for them you'd be playing a
mandolin probably.

"Maybe they didn't use the cheesy granualar preset tools

God man... why do you even bother to come here if all you do
is insult everyone?

how can you like computerworld with stuff like pocket
calculator then..? aren't all kraftwerk melodies cheesy and
aren't all their beats so simplistic you could call'em
pathetic, that's the power of kraftwerk right?

i bought it today...didnt give it a proper listen yet as i
have some more interesting stuff that i bought as well, but
from what i've heard its good old kraftwerk...quite boring,
but it is expected so it is ok
they were pioners at that time, well they're definitely not
anymore...

Frequencies..)...

I was worried at first because I HATE trance music and this
is a bit trancey... but its not boring or bland like most
other trance i've heard.

strange that the Kraftwerk threads don't get many replies on
a electronica message board...

Prologue, in it's glorious couple of seconds of lenght, is
one of the most emotionnal electronic piece I've ever heard.
I don't know why, but those sounds, they just feel
completely out of our world. The album is so technical, I
can understand people not liking it.

I love their live setup. They all done jumpsuits and
occasionally tweak a filter or trigger a sample. Its very
Man-Machine
