for the taste and style some afx albums have, I tend to associate them.
in some way, I find the whole caustic window work really feeling like "I care because you do"

prob because those two releases richard didnt use computer progs to make them with, they werre done with synths and samplers (probly a computer for sequencing but thats it) so they have that distinct aphex 'hardware'sound

hmm
i only associate same-period releases... like Donkey Rhubarb and Come To Daddy EPs with RDJ album...
every album is a new era, a new direction!

'on' and 'the curve - falling free(aphex twin mix)' both sound alike. if theyre from the same period, than that would be my favorite aphextwin-style period.
@uzim: i think that there are a lot of different directions (and era's) on drukqs

i dont know i can just say that fingerbib sounds like a song that should come out of a baby's toy, those things impress you for life
i had one that played 'how much is that doggy in the window': i know which one i would have preferred

i think Richard's best work to date (as far as something that will stand out against the test of time) is SAWII. no one has been able to make another album with that sound that well before or since. it completely stands alone as his, and even if the rest of his records suck from here on, at least we have that.

goDel > on drukQs, i see two main directions: the drill'n'bass one and the piano one... and a third, minoritary but important too, with gwarek2, gwely mernans... - these are forming a whole, that 'drukQs' sound - i couldn't separate the drill'n'bass and piano ones, they fit very well together...
ICBYD is the most varied 7\ release i think.

1 do all afx have the same sound? 2 do all polygon window have the same sound?
1 almost 2 not at all (surfing on sine waves has nothing to do with the quoth ep)

most of the afx releases seem to go for a more acid based sound, afaik.

but aphex twin alias is for lots of different styles while caustic is just one style, afx is more or less one style also an polygon window is a bit hibryd
