A lot of the new garage or whatever is pretty bloody good. It kinda has the electro vibe. I heard some on Radio 1 months ago and was extremely impressed. Some very funky tracks and I had totally no interest in garage.

I wroted an article about this for my mate sheikh:
http://www.absorb.org/articles/ukgarage/
The trick is to religiously listen to every record that comes out (whether in your local shop - i have 2 - or online - juno or chemical are good). thereby picking the cream of the crop - cos there are so many rubbish 8bar loop whites for 7.99 it makes me sick.

sort yourself out with some zed bias. that guy is good. more breakbeat-ish...but people still describe it as garage.
