has anyone seen this movie? im sure you can only buy it on
VCD, its a japanese film, very very very cool, these kids
get sent to a remote island and given a survival pack with 1
random weapon and forced to kill each other, and they are
grade 9 students!

There is a DVD edition and a DVD Special Edition available

Ive seen it and like it. Funny as phuck. Loads of kida
twatting each other with various lethal implements. For the
pedant in the crowd, I will point out that it is Royale with
an e. Saves you being a smartarse cockjobby. :D

I have pals in the biz and they tell me that it will be
called Battle Royale 2. But that is just pure speculation,
but I shall keep you posted!

a battle royale 2 trailer was on the adam and joe go tokyo
shows on bbc3 a while back

i think its out next year sometime, should be good. if i
remember correctly, its set in a tower block/office block
with a class of kids sent in to kill some terrorists holding
some random people hostage

nice flick
nice music in it too, i like schubert's "auf dem wasser zu
singen" which is used, i think it's sung by renee fleming

with the uzis.

Battle royale is great, i loved the part where the teacher
(takeshi kitano) shouts "silence!" and throws a knife to the
girl that was talking.

I also saw the trailer of BR2 on the "adam and joe go tokyo"
show (god, i loved that show)
Its been directed by the son of the previous director(wich
died some time ago)
yep, looks like its gonna suck

i FINALLY got to see this movie, and it was good. i think it
was over hyped on this MB and i thought it would be better
than it was, but it was still entertaining in a ultra
violent kinda way! =0)

i can't imagine a sequel tho, i dunno where else they can go
other than set up another battle, and i mean how many other
weird ways can someone be killed? ok....well don't answer
that....i don't REALLY wanna know.....ehehheheh

the film was shown oddly enough by a psychology professor at
my bf's college, and whats even more funny is that of the
few peepz that were there for the midnight showing, the
majority were of the 'genuine NERD' variety. i mean instead
of wanting to get right into the movie they wanted to
discuss DVD regions, and other things that hand NOTHING to
do with the movie....some guy even said.....are you guys
HIGH cos it was just totally off kilter banter. but it was
just what they're into i guess....ehehheh. we almost got
stopped at 2am by the campus police, apparently they are
cracking down on drinking and walking or
something....thankfully we escaped without being
questioned!

it's an interesting film, but why they would want to make a
sequel is beyond my comprehension...
