hehehe
IF the trailer is any indication it's gonna be some scary shit! bring a DIAPER!
remakes can either really suck or add something to the original. i hope it ADDS something, with the advent of new FX etc.....the other one that made my skin crawl was Cold Creek Manor.
i'll find the links and post'em for those interested!

not likely.
i believe it is a Michael Bay / Brukheimer project.. but then again, Pearl Harbor was pretty scary.

Cabin Fever looks fucking great!
Alien Directors Cut is a bizarre thing. They added in all the deleted scenes. Then Mr Scott decided that that was too long. So he proceeded to edit it again. Removed some of the delted scenes again AND some of the original edits stuff!!!! What the fuck?
At least he didn't put a voice over on it......

well it's not one of those SCENE for scene crapski's like Psycho was. i'm willing to give it a shot before saying it's crap. it very well MAY suck, but the trailer was decent.
this looks SCARY!!! House of the Dead
i dunno if it's based on something or not, but it looked HELLA good!

hmm, yeah, not sure what to make of that. parts look very similar to the original to me, and im not a big fan of that. the way the woman screams continualy for about 30 mins at the end really annoys me for somereason.
where have i heard the music at the beginning of that trailer before, sounds so familiar, im thinking a david lynch film?

prolly......i'll let you know after i see it =b
i am glad i don't have your attitude about movie remakes.....some are decent and some are BETTER than the original because of acting or FX. i have a more open mind about these things i think.....
yuppers lynch's music.....interesting how they reuse music from other movies to advertise NEW movies.....it's very catchy i guess

I'm sorry, but a movie like TCM does not need to be remade. It was the dirty, low-buget feel that made it magic, and it fit the back-woods plot.
Imagine remaking a classic like Alien, Evil Dead, etc. Or remaking Friday the 13th part 1 with popular actors? There has to be some originality floating around.

i agree, but i reserve judgement until i SEE the movie.
btw.....it's not made with popular actors, i didn't recognize any NAME actors in the remake.
if you don't wanna see it cos you liked the original so much, don't.....but i don't feel that way.....

yeah i'm a bit skeptical of texas chainsaw masacre, tobe hoopers was brilliant but it think that the new one is a different story so i am kind of confused as to why they didn't use another name as it isn't the same movie?

hummm i really think it has to be pretty similiar to the orignal. especially since the title is the same and during the trailer it say's it's based on 'a true story' like the original. perhaps they embellished some parts.....but i dunno?
this movie which i'd HEARD of but not seen anything about looks REALLY good. i like robert downey jr.....i really hope he stays off drugs and continues to get good roles like this one looks like
Gothika
