"I'm not concerned about the health risks, it's Art"

the face

Oddly I'm not concerned about the health risks to him
either...so I have something in common with David Blaine
which is nice...

why is he up there?

what's the point?

he should go back to just floating a few centimetres above
the pavement. that was a good trick.

He reckons that no man has managed to live without food and
with sensory deprevation for 44 days and 44 nights, living
just on water. So he climbed into a box to show how good he
is.

When he finishes he is planning to step out of the box and
walk across the Thames to the shore where he will feed the
audience with loaves and fishes.

i think his card tricks are pretty neat, but i'd like to see
him levitate in my front room before i beleve that

He admitted that the levitation that you see on TV is
staged. There was actually a show where he told everyone
how he did some of his tricks, including the levitation one,
which is just standing at an angle and using one foot to
lift the other leg off the ground. But for the TV footage
they refilmed the close up using a crane.

Yeah if you're wearing the right shoes in the right lighting
that can look really convincing - But yeah, they edit on an
extra bit for TV where he really is getting hoisted up...
Also, with a lot of his tricks he just films them over and
over until he gets them right. Like the fake ESP tricks and
things.
I still love watching Blaine even though his magic tricks
are pretty easy to see through when you realise how he
works.

There's that really good British magician/psychologist guy
who's gonna play real live russian roulette on TV soon -
That guy is great! Less of a magician, but can totally get
inside ppl's minds! Can't remember his name though!

There's stuff in his water, for sure. And probably a few
mars bars in his sleeping bag.

I like the Bo Selecta version where he's a pervert with a
dodgy new york accent

What about 44 days and 44 nights...in a house full of
monkeies, and my dead grandfather's best friend?

Shall i repeat it for you again? As i'm sure you didn't hear
it the first time

blaine is kinda up his ass in pretentiousness, but, like all
good magicians, he knows how to do entertain and perform
bloody well. when i finally realised magic wasnt "real"
-*ahem*- all a magician is is an entertainer, but one who
looks cool rather than tells jokes about the mother in law.

I haven't spoken to my mother in law for two years, I can't
get a word in.

Take my wife...etc.

Blaines 'impossible feat' was done 20 years ago by the IRA
hunger strikers, they managed 59 days, I'm with Tony
Montana the burger seller on this one.

I say we should all encourage him to strive for ever more
exciting and hair-raisingly artistic feats of courage, and
then, maybe, just maybe, one of them will fucking kill him.

Or maybe his next stunt could be to sit on top of the Eiffel
Tower without food or water for 10 years. Out of the bastard
way.

I'm willing to bet he won't be surviving the "sit on my
couch for five minutes" stunt.
