flip-mode of my life

Problem A: The job situation
Ok so here's the deal. I have worked for this support-firm
for over a year, and for the last 8 months, I did this
Intranet-project for them. Now they wanted me back on the
call-line, and after several tries not to get there, they
put me on the HP/Compaq-line anyway.
So I thought "what the heck".
But then after my third customer I began to get this
panic-attacks and everything turn totally black in my head.
It was instantly like the depression I had a year back. This
really is a kick in the balls, cause I know this is directly
linked to my ruff times in school (which I hoped that had
disappeared by it's self.
So I decided it would be time to call it quits and move home
to Denmark from this crappy Swedish town, since I probably
can't do the job they ask me to do. A resignation will be
given 1 month in advance, this leaves me with problem B.

Problem B: The money situation
I started this job to pay off debt. Now I will maybe end in
a debt that's even bigger than the debt was before I moved
up here. Besides that, I have to get on the social-check
again, cause right now I simply can't handle a job. I need
to get myself together.

Problem C: The apartment-situation
So when I'm moving away from here, I have to get rid of my
apartment. To bad the require that you quit your apartment 3
months in advance, because if you don't, you have to PAY
those three months even if you don't live there.
Well fuck them. They can bill me all they want, I'm in
Denmark, and they're in Sweden. Fuck them.
Now the other apartment-problem is how to get an apartment
in Denmark. They are very expensive.
So I'm hoping to move in with a guy I lived with a couple of
years ago. To bad that my ex-girlfriend already
rented the place, BUT maybe isn't moving in at all. So I'm
hoping for that.

Best case scenario:
I move in with my buddy. I dodge all the bills from Sweden.
I don't have to loan any more money. And I get the rest of
my stay here with full pay.

Worst case scenario:
I have to move in with my mom and her boyfriend (in the
middle of nowhere in Denmark). They are in the middle of
building new kitchen and stuff, so the only place there's a
room for me is in a really cold and small room on the loft.
Then I have to loan a gazzilion bucks from my bank, which I
can't pay back cause the state of Denmark won't give me any
social-payment.
Next chapter here is that I find a nice decent bridge and
put on "meltphace6" in my headphones as I try to fly.

But if you tell them (the support firm) about your problems
and the depression etc., won't they allow you to work in
another of their departments? Like do a project similar to
what you did in the last 8 months?

You might as well try talking to your boss about it, since
you're planning to leave there anyway... you've got nothing
to lose?

I believe some companies (in holland anyway) would even
allow you to stay home whilst still getting paid because a
depression also counts as being 'sick'. But then you'd
probably also have to see a psychiatrist or something, which
would no doubt be rather confronting :-/

The whole situation sucks though :-/
I don't really know what else to say... i hope everything
will work out one way or the other for you. That worst case
scenario sounds horrible :-(

The firm only has two things left for me to do. Both
involving sitting on the line.

They understand that it's because i'm frucked in my head or
whateva, but they can't do anything about it.

And I have been seeing a shrink for the last 3 months or so,
so i'm going for that "calling in sick" on the behalf of the
depression. That won't give me a whole salery though :-/

Whatever you do don't take depression drugs unless you
really have to or the thought of "dead man walking" has a
particular appeal to you!

besides that...with how keen I am on eating pills, I am
pretty sure that I can't remember if it was 1 pill a day or
10...I always get those to mixed up

I might be of help because I'm in a slightly similar, though
less drastic, situation. My solution to these so far is to
find the cheapest place to live. You might be surprised at
how much renting an apartment varies from place to place,
because I sure was. Go to www.mapquest.com and pick possible
cities you might be willing to go to at random. Then go to
google.com and search for "(that city) plus "classifieds".
I'm about to move into an apartment that is only 425 US
dollars a month which is much less than 750 a month or so
around where I live now. I'm pretty sure it costs less in
more rural areas. However, it seems to be customary to do a
credit check for tenants.. but it's maybe likely that an
explanation of your situation to the a needing landlord
would be good enough. As long as you can pay the landlord
the money every month while slowly paying off the debt, you
might be ok?

Also, you might have to eat the cheapest. It's probably
possible to eat off of 6 or 7 US dollars a day which I might
soon be doing. You just have to only buy the cheapest
things.
