do the following: run the program msconfig in the windows/system directory. go to the autostart tab and deselect all entries you do not need anymore (like old mouse drivers, stuff like that) be sure to write down all settings, you might have to undo them in case anything happens. do not alter registry entries though, they don't affect the speed |
