I don't know why this guy hasn't got more respect. yeah, I know he has lots of fans here, but he's never included with the greats like Afx or Autechre or BoC, etc. Having just got Music Is A Rotted One Note, Hard Normal Daddy, Selection Sixteen and Go Plastic (yeah I went a bit weird after loving My Red Hot Car and other stuff) I think this guy is the supreme Warp artist. Not only is he great with sound and melody like ther others, but also with his ability on instruments and a real "feel" for the music, if you get me. And, the CD's weren't nearly as un-realiable as people were saying; they were all good quality overall!

I've always said that musically he is more talented than anyone else on the Warp roster...but he doesn't manage to get much emotion into most of his tracks, and so they can sound sterile and boring after a while. He's cool live though.
Just my shitty opinion on him :P

and i think that is the rreason people do not go wild on him like they do the otherrs.
he does have a lot of fans, but he is generrally second best, which btw is not a bad position to be in.

Yeah, I can see your point ecnadniarb. It's like prog-rock; I respect it for it's musicianship, but it leaves me cold.
Mind you, some Squarepusher isn't all show-off, he has some heart-felt moments too.

definitely, squarepusher has a lot of stuff that i find very emotional.
and by the way i consider him to be one of the "big boys": ae, afx, boc, sqp. they are the 4.

"Not only is he great with sound and melody like ther others, but also with his ability on instruments and a real "feel" for the music, if you get me. "
yeah his music sounds more human than other "idm artists".... like hes playing an instrument, even with sounds that are programmed
