I'm loving this track, the rhythm really adds a lot to the
song. My qualms are that the chorus type of chord deals
sound a bit too techno-y for my tastes, and the whispering a
bit too pre-programmed ambient for me. Also, it the chords
seem to be too loud and too many layers playing it.
Otherwise, its done really well and is 2 Legit 2 Quit.
Towards the end, the electric guitar sliding sound is type
fresh.

kochlear,
i've just listened to your track and thought i would give a
straightforward review.

i always enjoy your stuff. it's some of the better material
to surface on this board i rekkon. this track is no
different though i don't feel it's your strongest work. the
reverberized bass kick got a little stale to me by the end
and the other reverbs, kind made the overall sound of the
track mushy. it reminds me of a cross between SAW II and
like maybe a Mum or Sigor Ros track. i like the clicky hat
line though i wish it was varied up a bit. and i like the
dist guitar. it is quite a pleasant listen overall.

so don't get me wrong. i like this track and it will go in
my "xltronic keepers" folder. i just don't think its even
close to the best work you've done.

[gimmick, nacmat]

i dunno sometimes i write tracks that i just think stink
(i'm sure we all do). i have a good 100 or so in a
directory called "shit". i'll give this one a listen
tomorrow, but i like my stuff that has more interesting
guitar work usually.

anyway, thanks again to folks who downloaded.

wow, 100 tracks of shit?

i'm so not prolific, i turn out maybe 1 track a month if i'm
really working hard. and if the track is shit, i usually
just delete huge chunks of it and start over till it's not
shit or it will just sit unfinished indefinately. Not
saying that i don't have shitty tracks. just that I
don't think many of them are shitty.

but yeah, i think your tracks are usually great and if you
consider this one a shitty one, i would love to hear the
rest of the 100 shit tracks.

I dled it and listened and it's not bad but it lacks spark
(for me anyway) and i didn't like the guitar lines very much
i thought they sounded a bit too ott.

I think also that you obviously have talent and that is a
very good thing, i will listen to your other stuff and i
will give you a proper opinion then.

see i work the opposite. quantity over quality. if i write
a song a day chances are higher that 1/4 will be good. i
have 3 hours of music before i selected the tracks for the
LP i uploaded. now i'm kinda out of ideas though, i have
about an hour and a half of stuff for the EP i'm working on.
