GIR,

Must be gutting spending ages to do a track and then posting
it up and nobody listens to it. Its a harsh world eh. Still
there is just so much darn music these days. So many labels
so much generally good music around. So many people wanting
you to check their music out.

I think putting up one's tracks for scrutiny requires
either:

1) a lot of balls or
2) a lot of stupidity
3) that you just know its shit hot and you just want some
more praise

touche

but i think a lot of people have the same reasoning

"man this track is fuckin ace, ive worked so hard on it
perhaps i should send it to xltroni.....wait,no, nevermind"

i'm not a connoisseur of autechre but it sounds like it
could be on draft or something from 96 when they used
glitched vocals more. the only thing that spoils the hoax is
the modulated synth that kicks in at 1:49, thats a bit lazy
compared to AE in my opinion. it's a cool track tho, i shall
keep this in my mp3 folder and enjoy it many times more.
gonna check out your chime mix too.

Hmmm i agree.

I can't really be arsed to post them here anyway most people
are very indifferent, which i find very annoying at times.

I'm not saying this to be mean, but in trruth, I just don't
give a good goddamn about the music people herre make.

I'm not saying anything against the people that make it,
some people herre who post theirr music I rreally like, but
I just don't carre about the trrack-a-day crreations they
churrn out.

It sounds like a fruityloops track (I haven't said that in a
while :P)

I can't say I liked it loads...more to do with the sounds
used, the synths etc sounded a bit shite, and that snare
drum is horrible. It was OK, not lol shite or wow good just
OK :D!

Ok great example someone posted something about an internet
only mp3 comp and I'm listening to it. Some of it is kinda
not my thing, some of it ain't to bad. For instance the
track I'm listening to right now I would say is pretty top
draw. I think it is rare though to listen to something and
get completely blown away first time not in the same way you
could do with a BOC track. I must admit if the notes on a
track are really strong and emotiv that grabs my interest
pretty darn quickly. If a track is really glitchy and
intracate its hard to appreciate on the fly.

offline GIR from Easton on 2003-09-02 13:43 [#00846663]
Points: 828 Status: Addict

agreed....plus i usually tend to appreciate the simple ones
instead of the complicated (fuckcore-breakbeat-glitchbreast)
deals..

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2003-09-02 13:51 [#00846682]

GIR,

Oh I like breakcore and shit but its like anything really if
its good and funky and original I think one tends to notice
pretty quickly. I think positive notes and serious notes are
better than darker notes generally for quick impact. It all
comes down to grabbing a listeners interest. For me strongs
notes and good beat programming come second to none.

i would say the track is a failed attempt at being autechre
which is a description that could fit about 7,000 "IDM"
artists.
a lot of people seem to think that by randomly filling their
tracks with blips bleeps sckrrecks and glitches they will be
another ae; they dont seem to realise that with the real
thing there is actually thought put into these things
