well today is the last full day i have in my house. I have lived here for over 18 years and have had some great memories here. I am moving to my dorm at college and my mom is moving to Wisconsin. Its pretty lonely sitting in an empty room with nothing but my modem and my laptop, and to top it off most of my friends are already at college so i just feel like im rotting away in my hometown.
so anyone else ever moved? was it hard or was it something you were really looking foreward to?
i would say its sorta hard, but its gonna be great to live on my own and not live in a dirty basement with a smelly old hairy dog. werd.

i've moved house a couple of times as a child which were pretty hard, mainly cos you leave all your old mates behind and have to start over again from scratch. Moving to college or uni is different though! I thought it was great to finally be fully independant and to have somewhere i could call 'my house' (Iwas sharing a house with another guy and two chinese birds :) as opposed to a dorm)

The ease of moving is relative to the number of people who help you move...
I should know...*rubs still slightly sore shoulders*

i just moved from southern california to northern california for school. it's GREAT being on my own, but i am still a little homesick and whatnot. the only thing Really horrible about moving is if you have a lot of stuff. and if you have friends/family helping you out. otherwise it's all very surreal. waking up expecting to be looking at your room and Not your dorm/apartment.
plus you don't have your mom cramping your style. ... if you know what i mean :-D

i also found that after i moved away from my parents i actually 'spoke' to them more then i did when i was living at home. When i say spoke, i mean about important stuff, and things that matter in life, not just 'hi dad, im going out now'
