i was bored at work today so i thought of a music competition for the board the basic idea is use one sound e.g snare and make a song out of it it doesnt matter how much you proccess the sound but just use that also if possible put a gap at the start of the tune with just the sound in it so everybody who listens can hear how it started any takers? |

thats a project in the DSP class here... called the soundbite project. It has to be a spoken word or phrase, which you place that the start of the track. Only processing.... nothing else. Im not in the class yet though... |

Noise is shite...all of these tracks that I have heard are shite. I am not doing one because a) to do it properly would take too long. b) it would probably end up sounding shite like the rest of you so in conclusion I am drunk. |

haha ecnads... well noise and the avante garde definately aint 4 everyone. i'm keepin an open mind 2 try all sorts of stuff with my music tho most of it is dark, i would prefer not to pigeonhole myself, guess thats why i've been really gettin into remixing stuff. that was my first noise track on computer, i used to do stuff with kids toys n old fckd up radios etc. then i joined a band called jackhammer lust where i used my guitar as a noise instrument with occassional melody, i think my dad described my sound best as "whales mating". some disturbed part of me enjoys destroying sound n peoples ear drums and another part like the abuse like merzbow n the like, tho i haven't done or heard any stuff like it in years so that was pure self indulgence hehe. And Oddio i was tempted to make it longer but it seems to have its own flow, i was sort of trying to structure noise like a song, with verses, and chorus using the original sample to peice it together and rather than long sustaining noise i tried to use short bursts kind of emulating the title, like some sort of werewolf attack, tried to make it brutal but still short. man did i crap on. but thanks 4 listenin. |
