I'd imagine this would vary for each person...

Coldcut feat. Yazz and the Plastic Population: Doctorin' the
House.

or

MARRS: Pump Up the Volume

or

A Guy Called Gerald: Voodoo Ray

Between them, these started my journey which eventually
became fully realised in Black Dog Productions and Polygon
Window... and on and on...

*goes back to sleep*

jand has it, i asked him loads of times, he always
complained about his memory. he always said he'd rip it, i
even emailed him but nothing yet. maybe you could ask him if
you ever bump into him. just a thought.

i have a poor quality radio rip of it, i taped it off john
peel in 1988, you can have that for the time being if you
want.

I would have to agree with you there my boy. Jega's Geometry
is a fine example of what IDM can be: Melodic, moody,
rhythmical and he even throws in a bit of granualr synthesis
so that people can get prepared for guys who take it to the
extreme.
