vi scose poise

What does everyone think of this song? The first track off
Confield? I did a quick mb search and didnt find it
mentioned...strange, since it is clearly the best track of
the album. Personally I love it.

I think Bine is the most beautiful track on the album, but
Vi Scose Poise ain't bad either.

The track always seems to me to be a sort of kalpol intro 2.
In the way it only uses a limited canvas of sounds, but
seems to squeeze every single bit of goodness out of them.
You could easily just walk on stage with just a sampler and
perform the song from it with perhaps a reverb pedal and an
mpc, simplicity itself is always beautiful.

Very very nice, although Parhelic Triangle remains my
favourite track from Confield.

VI Scose Poise - great track. I enjoy as well. Though I
think Eidetic Casein deserves its fair mention.

off course it's amazing in simplicity....not sure it's the
best track...but the one that strikes out as the best on
first listen

getting the urge to put on some Autechre!

uviol would be the best, but it gets annoying half way
through

i had a dream last night, it was REALLY weird. part of it
consisted of complete darkness with only confield playing.
but it was like remixed confield. like i could hear vi
scose poise playing but it had sort of a pen expers feel to
it. then i heard that parhelic triangle rhythm, with the
uviol screech in my head. whoo, it was scary stuff, but
know when i think of it, it was amazing/! my fav track off
this is prolly parhelic triangle.

I seem to skip that track a fair bit when listening to
confield.. . it seems a little out of place if you ask me.

Casein is better.

I like it. Favourite is Bine, though, followed by Cfern by
Pen Expers.

Depends where you go. On the Orbital forum it's very highly
rated. When I first got Confield, everyone was telling me
that it's great, and I was left thinking 'uh?'.
Autechre really are the only case of music that grew on me.
I love it now.

c/fern is where its at. its underrated so this is me rating

after i've given Vi Scose Poise (Viscose Noise?) several
proper listens i have to say it's a very nice track.
the first five and a half seconds is the most inspired piece
of music ever. oh, and that sound at 6:21 is simply
beautiful... can't help loving it.

yet my current fave is Sim Gishel with its funky beats...is
it the Terminator having a walk and chomping on a bar of
chocolate? hmmm…

I love when the melody first comes in at 1:57.

Difficult song to begin with though, it was the first
Autechre I'd ever heard back in 2002 or so, and it threw me
off of them until a few months later when I discovered Tri
Rep. Now it's one of my favorite tunes from them.

they said in a recent interview that they used generative
max sequencing on 3 tracks for Confield. I would be
surprised if VI Scose was not one of them...

it would be cool to find out the specifics on how vi scose
poise was made. the synthesis behind it. i can think of a
couple different ways to go about it. but woof.

woof. the transition between uviol and lentic sounds like
fucking hysteria.

Very much like my 6th birthday - oh how the rain made
