Hey peeps, im trying to get reason to respond to midi
signals from my synth, as far as I understand I have it set
correctly to be receiving midi from the midi/gameport in my
soundcard.. anyone have a lot of experience with this prog?

Yes go into Edit >> Preferences, change the thing at the top
to MIDI and then choose your synth from the drop down list.
