Ultra low sub bass!

I am really into low sub bass music at the moment and have
puchased some music from fuel records.
I found that there main artist Tipper has produced some
really nice low sub tunes but its scary how much aphex has
influenced them, also 'Holding pattern' there new album has
alot in common with Crunch 2 ,they use quite a few of the
same samples ?!?.
Any way , check the tipper tune at the bottom left of the
site (when it finally loads !) and let me know what you
think .
fuel records

it was kinda relaxed, eventhough it was not mellow, and it
was quite nice.
Hadn't heard it before. But the sound and the style is of
course familiar.
cool, works great as "backgroundmusic" I suppose...

below 18hz it's not really a tone anymore

sure it is

2hz is a tone

no, for one, if it was a sine wave you couldn't hear it at
all, and if it was 'clicks' you'd just hear 'click click
click click click', 2 a second.
I don't call that
a
tone

click? no that would be a subwoofer reachingi ts peak
excursion and beingover-excudred and thus having hte back of
the dust cover smacking the pole-peice.

thats not good for your driver.

I was just referring to a different wave function, like a
square wave.

If you got a big enough speaker with enough volume it would
be like a big fan probably

tunedreal low

my box is tuned @ 33hz ~

F3 point is @ 27Hz

i do about 145+ dBs with 1 12" driver and 1400watts at 33Hz

and about 130dBs at 27Hz (right at F3 point tho, so imagin
if i tuned lower :)

i don't know much about speakers. but i know that 1400 is a
lot of watts for a speaker. what's an
f3
point?

Tipper sounds like crunch cause he is 50% of crunch with
Mike Wallace (xltronic user colonymike).

F3 point is essentialy in english ez terms,
the point in a ported box where the front wave is completely
out of alignment / phase with the front wave, thus creating
a lot of unstable pressure, thus the driver starts flopping
and over-excurding like a madman

Bass Mekanik writes terrible music - but his basslines are
great and are the perfect test for newly installed bass
systems.
