Does anyone know what RDJ's setup is? I know he uses a
french program on his computer...but does anyone know what
kind of synths, synthesizers, drum machines, other programs,
etc. he uses?

i once saw
a 'xylophone'
type thing he made out of wrenches of various sizes, with
resonating chambers made out of plumbing.
it was about 500 bucks
on ebay

J-HOK gave the equipment list Rich used on the RDJ album a
while ago and nobody seemed to pay attention.

Nah, you would have to search through J-HOK's posts.

the rumor that he makes some of his own equipment is untrue.
mike p. said it himself in an interview.

no he modifies stuff, blahtheblah, its all in the articles
and faq's (watmm.com). since a few years he only uses
software. i doubt the grandpiano bit controlled by computer
is true: the modified piano stuff is a modified piano
sampled i think, just like the violins on icbyd

he obviously has used the Roland 303, and I believe he used
either the 707 or 808 for his early work.

He comes over to my house to use my shit from time to time,
but lately I've just been too busy to see what he's up to.

yeah, he used to date my missus
<-- back in the 90's. She dumped him for me though.

that xylophone thing made out of wrenchs was 'inspired' by
aphex twin, i think. the guy that made it liked aphex twin
or something....i don't remember the specifics. it was kind
of shady the way he put aphex twin on his auction too. might
of led people to believe it was by richard.

I remember that auction. I even found out who actually made
it. It had nothing even remotely close to having anything
to do with richard though.

I thought RDJ album was mostly done on his (at the time) new
Mac & Pro Tools setup.?
I've read he's using a Synton Fenix (I prolly spelt that
wrong, maybe a Fenton Synex or something.. but it's a v.cool
semi-modular analogue synth bit like an ARP2600) more
recently, apparently his favorite synth these days...
Other than that(over the years), seen 'im use: Casio
FZ-10M(...that doesn't look rite), DX7, D50(I recon), all
the TR boxes, MC202, SH101, EMS Synthi AKS(my personal
favorite), Korg MS20, MS50, SQ10(??wicked korg sequencer
thing anyway), Sequential Studio 440, R-8mkII drum
machine...
and probably loads more - Better question would be what
equipment doesn't RJ have?
I'd bet there's a Juno, Jupiter, Wavestation, few Moogs in
there too, at least..
* J Swift admits to being a real geeky gear spotter
sometimes :( *
