Killing Joke

The brand new self titled album by Killing Joke is well
worth checking out. Both for the older fans and people who
are into industrial acts like Ministry and Skinny Puppy. Its
a true return to form, Jazz Coleman is doing some of the
best vocals I have ever heard him do. The album is
absolutely brimming with energy that puts bands half their
age to shame.

I bought some single of theirs the other day because it was
on a clown head shaped picture disc. It looks nice.

the new album is supposed to be excellent. for those

Err.. I didnt want to mention that. Dave Grohl is cool and
all but no replacement for Bill Rieflin. Best rock drummer
on the planet!

rieflin is better but grohl still rocks, let's not pretend
he doesn't

Yeah he is pretty good. The drums on this album kick ass.

Drums were always Killing Joke's strong suit. Their early
80's albums were the best.

That was kinda my point, with Reiflin missing the drums of
this album dont quite have the TRIBAL feel to them. These
are more straight forward rhythms, but the production on the
kit is astounding.

Yipes, this album is too loud for me.

i've meaning to get this for ages, i've only go 'laugh I
nearly bought one'. Not many decent rock bands around now,
most of the good ones never get any media exposure.

nothin is gonna top "extremeties..." or "nightime" imho.

things kinda fell apart when "pandemonium" hit.

Man I love their self titled DEBUT. I really haven't heard
much of their late 80's/90's stuff though. I'll check this
out.

martin atkins drumming on extremeties was ABSOLUTELY
astounding!!!!

the riffs were tight, the vocals were fierce, everything was
deep deep deep.

f**k, just downloaded a couple of tracks off the new one,
they sure are heavy compared to their earlier stuff but
very, very good.
