in this joint!
my computer's fucked. running windows XP. it's giving me this error message that says my computer will be shut down in 00:59 (and proceeds to countdown until it restarts my computer) because of NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
some sort of thing says that remote process call unexpectedly terminated??
this has happened about 8 times in the past 30 minutes. my computer was fine the last time i used it.
and sometimes it gives me a message that says something about "generic host process"...

i don't like the sound of that remote process call thing, sounds like an outside attacker or something (i've used programs that let you remotely shut down someone's pc, generally fuck around with it and send messages). do you have a firewall installed and running when you connect to the internet?

if i were you here is what i'd do
1. disconnedt the troubled pc from the internet by removing any LAN or Phone cable from it.
2. Download kerio personal firewall using your alternative pc.
3. Transfer the setup fileS to the infected pc and install kerio on it.
4. If you don't have a virus scanner running then also download AVG and set it up on the troubled pc.
5. Also i would recommend installing AD-Aware6 on it.

I want to build a virus that can wipe out all computers. Is it possible? It would have to be crafty, like aids.

I have winXP and I haven't yet had this problem. I also have a firewall/router. Not sure if that makes a difference. It does sound like a virus though. Hopefully I don't get it, though I can just reload my ghost image.

Yes, this is a virus... it spread within the last couple days. Disconnect that computer from the internet and flush it for viruses if you can. Check security web sites to see how to clean it effectively

If you have a router/firewall, shut off outside access to port 135

if it's a virus, Adaware won't do it.

if it is a virus then you are right , AD Aware wont do it. It could be a piece of spyware or a trojan also. That is why i think he should install all three programs just to make sure all angles are covered, as we dont know what it is.
