 | since the last topic got a little messed up with the links and all, i decided to re-post it.
the idea was to start working on this beach house with an
analogue start, this is...by drawings....so i can start
developing the floor plans, 3D models, rendering and
animations after the interview with the client tomorrow
(hopefully he'll like the main ideas).

if you go to image "b00" the distribution is roughly showed,
 where:
 1 is living room
 2 is dining room
 3 is kitchen and services
 4 is access and hall
 5 is game-room
 6 is master bedroom
 7 are kids bedrooms

now, any insights (good or bad) are highly appreciated
folks. sorry for re-posting this but i wanted to freshen
 up.
 cheers
 architecture project

 | I like how you make architecture... how it looks like and how functional but still organic the result is.

 materials for structure?

 | That looks very 'Le Corbusier'-esque. Kinda reminds me of the 'Villa Savoye'. Very nice. Are you planning any 3d
renderings? Oh shit you are (must get out of the habit of
posting before I finish reading a post!). What renderer do
you use? 3d max (I use)? Christ I wanna be an architect! :(

 | well, I dont see it so lecorbusierish as you say... its kind of organic, it looks more like a modernt review of alvar
aalto... or even reminds me of people like Coderch

 | perhaps...maybe it's the stilts in b02 which remind me of VS (a building I'm intimately aquainted with - I had to
reconstruct it in 3dmax as part of my virtual environments
masters. Getting the lighting right was a f**king
 nightmare!)

 | wow...thanks a lot folks!!!!! comments and positive insights are greatefully appreciated. i`m a happy man. today i got
together with the client, he loved the first sketches,
 so....now...the real deal starts.

first of all, the plans and elevations. Nacho, for
materials, concrete, bricks and wooden beams.....steel
structure at times. the whole built surface is about 200
square meters, these sketches are not drawn with any scale,
they`re just the first abstract ideas.

then the 3d model (with Form-Z) and rendering, posibly an
animation. then, detail plans and material specifications.
 then....construction starts.

i will keep y` all updated with the process as it unfolds.

thanx for the good comments and insights. i really mean
 it.

 ;D

 | not that i know about this stuff butt will having the windows on the erm, inside of the "c" (and the supporting
walls on the outside) be good for the natural light/ obscure
the view cos all you can see is the other side of the house?
roof access for to turn it into a roof terrace/ garden would
be cool, especially a japanese style rock garden one. i
dunno tho, you are the expert...

 | hmmmm....windows are on both sides of the "c". problem is that most sea-side views are up front, streets
are on both sides, so, windows are smaller (and more
controlled) on the façades that are close to the streets.
roof-terraces are nice, but since this site is huge, there`s
 no need for them.
 nice insights tho jingle.
