ofcourse other elements come into play than just making good
music etc.

just look at AFX - if there weren't all the mystical
bullshit stories surrounding him he wouldn't have become
that famous (or at least, not as fast).

fame is all about exposure, I know plenty of artist as good
as ae/afx that'll never see the light of day because noone
