I guess this is the film Oshii was training the team who did
"Blood: the Last Vampire" for.

"Blood the Last Vampire" was done as a test. Oshii used it
to have his new team try out new techniques in After Effects
and 3D texture mapping.

me too, still waiting for the DVD release. Ghost in the
Shell (special edition) is released on DVD in the next
couple of weeks. I'm just trying to find out what's
different to the old DVD. Hopefully they have fixed the
problem with the sound.

lol I bought GITS on DVD from Amazon.co.uk while I was at
home in Paris. The sound is about 10ms off which means guns
start firing before you hear them! I phoned Amazon and
moaned and as it would cost me to send it back they gave it
to me. w000t !!!

the sound annoyed me to the point where i couldn't watch it
and ended up selling it. I hope the special edition is ok,
looks like they are using the same artwork though, shame.

Great news. The Manga version (that's the comic book
version) looks sensational.

this boat needs to be sunk.

The title of this thread needs to be: GITS Stand Alone
Complex! (Clip).

it isn't the sequel. and people need to recognize that. I
don't want to go hang out with my friends back in the
states, and have a conversation steer towards talking about
GITS 2. there is no such thing.

i'm just helping out other people who feel my way. i'm sure
that the freinds of these ppl on this thread who claim that
this is a sequel will be equally upset, or dissmiss the
poeple are utter liars.

if i were to tell somone about a GITS sequel, and they
bought it. then reasherd it on the net, and found out that
it's not s sequel, or EVEN CLOSE TO IT! i'd be greatly
discredited, and dubbed, stupid and gullable. and a bad
speller

Oh, the terror of spreading misinformation about a Ghost In
The Shell sequel. If it's such a big deal to you, why don't
you just make another thread for it?

But there is a sequel out in the comic form. And I cant
imagine Oshi signing up to do a measly OAV series.

i wish i could download that because i enjoyed the first
film. but it would take 2 hrs. on my connection so no dice.
but thanks for the info.

nanotech does have a point - the Ghost in the Shell movie,
based on the comics, actually only covers a small portion of
the otherwise fairly lengthy series. So it's sort of
condensed. And, (correct me if i'm wrong) but doesn't the
first movie cover the story of the last quarter or so of the
comic series?
