Wow, that's impressive. Who put this together?

Is it all a capella or are there some machine-generated
sounds in there?

I'd love to know who did it. It's incredibly precise to the
original.
Haven't heard the Flim one, but I'd certainly like to...

It'd be cool if there was an AE or AFX tribute album, to
cover all of these.

Actually, tribute albums suck, so maybe not.

whoa, that's way better than my a capella version of aphex's
- to cure a weakling child

of course, mine was kinda intended as a joke, and didn't
really try to be true to the original.

:)))))
thx all
it's all me, no generated sounds at all. the only tweaking
is like a 1/4 step pitch shifting on the really high or low
notes.
here's a link w/ information...

so were the sounds (by you) put into a sampler/sequencer
type dealy?

because if not i just might explode.

but if it was, how did you get it to sound just like rae?
did you use some sort of software or did you figure it all
out yourself?

either way, you rock.

Haha... acapella is great... this isn't as cool as the Mario
Theme in Mario Sunshine, but props to them for trying.

Everytime I hear acapella, I think of Rockapella from Where
in the World is Carmen Sandiego...

Well she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina,
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize,
She'll take you for a ride on a slow boat to China,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Steal their Seoul in South Korea, make Antarctica cry
Uncle,
From the Red Sea to Greenland they'll be singing the blues,
Well they never Arkansas her steal the Mekong from the
jungle,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

She goes from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe,
Chicago to Czechoslovakia and back!

Well she'll ransack Pakistan and run a scam in Scandinavia,
Then she'll stick 'em up Down Under and go pick-pocket
Perth,
She put the Miss in misdemeanor when she stole the beans
from Lima,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Oh tell me where in the world is... Oh tell me where can she
be?

Ooh, Botswana to Thailand, Milan via Amsterdam,
Mali to Bali, Ohio, Oahu...!

Well she glides around the globe and she'll flimflam every
nation,
She's a double-dealing diva, with a taste for thievery,
Her itinerary's loaded up with moving violations,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

the exact science of what I did is kinda sticky to explain,
but overall it's just me listening to the song and recording
takes into protools. no sampling/sequencing.

rockapella is also on a folder's coffee commercial, if i
remember correctly..
and also i do respect canada, if my disrespectful comment
was what mr. elusive was refering to, with that "respectful"
remark (i was kidding, i want to move there in a few years)

and nice/interesting track as well, guy, from the begining
that i've heard, (i'm on 56k)..i'll have to download it
fully sometime here..

and damn.. there goes my ultra-neat 1717 post amount
number..

I started work on a new one two days ago :)
it's going well, but it's gonna take awhile, though, cuz
it's quite dense and new things get added all the time in
the song.

inaccurate.. it was marie + scratch who covered "gnit" on a
david byrne produced compilation for his label.
