 | ok. do so :) just keep in mind there are different types of
 rawfoodists...
perhaps the best way to get into the diet is to talk to
 someone who's on it...
or read books about it, as they are ofthen written by
persons who have been on the diet for some time.
Anyway, the more you read about it, the more you will want
 to start eating like it...

 | Key_Secret is right. The raw food diet can be incredibly healthy. Personally, I have found that the macrobiotic diet
combined with copious amounts of raw fruits, vegetables,
nuts, seeds, and grains is THE best diet.
(the macrobiotic emphasis is on fresh water fish, brown rice
 and vegetables)

 | you agree :)
well, I just think it's the most logic diet to, I mean it's
 so simple.
I've heard that the macrobiotic diet (and such 'healthy'
diets) origins from rawfood, but was changed to become more
appealing or something to the population.
I mean that the people who 'invented' the diet were
 rawfoodists.

 | I'm just coming from a holiday where I've eaten more raw vegetables and fruits than ever before, and it feels so
good, so natural and healthy. So I am really considering
cutting down on heated stuff in my diet (even though I will
 still enjoy cooked stuff).
Raw foods is the most natural, nothing of the nutrients gets
 destroyed by preparation.

 | interesting, this raw food. at LES CHEVRES, there is always an item on the menu that is called the "Pur et Cru" which
means Pure and Raw. The idea is to show people that it is
possible to eat quality and eat raw. the first salad we had
on there was fennel and pear shavings with taré (like green
onion), and an unpasteurized honey and sherry vinegrette.
the pur et cru now is a watermelon salad with lime juice and
zest, purple basil, olive oil, salt and pepper, chives and
 shallots, and some pea shoots.

also, everyone who comes to eat gets an amuse bouche of
vegetable juice. be it carrot, red pepper, cucumber,
 celery, and so on.

eating raw fish and meat is possible, as long as it is
fresh, and treated properly with respect. steak tartare is
good, and i can tolerate a tartar of salmon, too.

 | Went on a holiday to Kenya, saw the most amazing wildlife, climbed Mt. Kenya and saw the most beautiful sunrise ever,
drove through deserts, spent days on the beach, and had such
 a lovely time.
It was great, and I advise everyone here to take such a trip
if you ever have the chance to do it.
