has anyone got a proper-length MP3 of AE's rmx of '1belm'
by Silvania?

according to Wolf's Kompaktkiste site,
the track is 11:24 in length
(follow this link) here

. all the MP3s on soulseek are cut-off by good 3 minutes or
so. arrrgh!

if anyone has a proper version of it, let me know how i can
get it from you at

If you assume that the mp3 is played at 45rpm and slow it
down to 33rpm (aprx 73% of it's 45rpm speed) it comes out at
around 11:15. Maybe that's where the discrepacy lies, cos
the mp3 certainly doesn't seem to stop abruptly.

hmm. i'm pretty sure the Silvania remixes album is a CD-only
release.
and the MP3 does seem to cut-off towards the end.

is that release so awfully rare though? i've never seen it
on SLSK in its entirely, though it's got remixes by some
rather good artists (scorn, seefeel, scanner)

Hmm. The version I have in mp3 is 8:11 and finishes quite
naturally it seems to me. How does your mp3 finish?

well, there's two versions floating around on SLSK (labeled
autechre mix 1 and 2, respectively), though i'm pretty
certain one of them is fake. the 2nd one does seem to
finish off quite naturally though, like you mentioned. and
it does sound a bit sped up.

is there any way to try and slow it down to a 33 rpm speed
using, say, cool edit?

I just loaded it up into goldwave and adjusted the pitch to
73%. I prefer it faster though.

ay, didn't even think of pitchshifting it.
never used goldwave though. i'll have to fiddle around with
cool edit a bit, lookslike. thanks.
