I mean you can get shot once or twice I guess, or even three
times, at different occations, just having bad luck.
But this many times, it just doesn't seem real to think he's
up to *just good things*

So, what kind of person is he? She has to leave now without
revealing all the details - I remember she told me ages ago
her sis had an up and coming rapper as an ex - coulda been
on a record herself apparently.

oh! when did you become a mod?

anyway.. his rapping style.. I think is crap. he sounds like
he has no feeling left in his mouth (could be the effect of
nine bullits, I don't know..). I always get the feeling he's
a 6-year-old trapped in a young man's body.

nope, more of a thing like, money; as a system [as it exists
today], should be abandonded.
Money hasn't really got any value to me, but is 'important'
because I am forced to live in a society where money has
great importance.

okay said it again: i think it sucks a criminal
like 50cents is a popstar, its bad he got shot and picks a
diss with someone who he thinks is a wankster because he
hasnt popped anyone, its bad for the kids that get
corrupted
easily, i wouldt mind if he was banned and only secretly
able to be downloaded from the internet, that wouldnt let
people listen to it less, but at least you say its bad.
maybe freedom of speech is good though. but then hes still
an asshole and a bad rapper i cant listen too, like eminem.
there you go
im getting old and tired

rap is the worst art form ever. Aside from those hippy
rappers in the early 90's like q-tip and de la. I know,
let's sample a song from the 70's turn the vocals up to
chipmunk octave and mumble incoherrently on top. Yeah.

'shorty' is a common generic term for your bitch, so that
doesn't mean it's about your ex's sister just because he
called her 'shorty'. unless of course your ex's sister is a
megaslut and all the songs that rappers that talk about
their 'shorty's are actually talking about your ex's
sister.

there's a couple of rap tracks about being vegitarian.
krs-one, and some others that i can't think of right now...
dunno if that counts as hippy or not, but it's a step in
that direction.

saul williams, even though his flow is pretty weak, is kinda
hippy.

Saul Williams is more a spoken word poet who as worked with
hiphop producers.

99% of the shit written in this topic is rubbish nonsense
excluding my shit that I just wrote which isn't.

sorry, I don't mean to "playa hate", but to me there really
isn't anything redeeming about rap. The only rap I like is
Bone Thugs N Harmony, because they are fast motherfuckers
(lets face it, if it isn't this fast, it really isn't that
remarkable), and they do some of the prettiest music for rap
that I've heard. Some of Snoop's earlier stuff is cool too.
All of the other rap I hear is just about killing those who
"be frontin", drinkin forties and pimpin hoes, and let's not
forget, makin tha "dolla dolla bills y'all". The music is
way too repetetive for my taste (repetetive can be good, but
not when it's this annoying), and the topics are just too
trite.

Of course, all of this is in reference to mainstream rap.. I
like some of RJD2's stuff, so maybe there is better quality
in the underground that I am missing out on?

cannibal ox is pretty odd. i dunno if that's the "quality"
your looking for, but certainly out there.

Of course there is...your comment is like someone saying
they hate electronic music because they don't like the
"cheeky girls" or "sweet like chocolate".

Remember to normally have to dig to find the gold.
