El-P's best production was on the Cold Vain I reckon.

yes, you're right.

though, heavilly influenced by hip-hop i wouldn't say he was
an mc.

hip-hop, when done right can be very good. though most of
what is considered 'rap' nowadays is more of an offshoot of
the gangsta rap of the early 90's... which is itself kinda a
bastardization of hip-hop that could be likend to the way
80's-hair-glam-rock bastardized classic rock.

I got fandam on vinyl the other day. Lovely stuff, one of my
favourite hiphop albums.

The instrumental or the actual vocal album?

Both are pretty good though.

The proper album, might get the instrumental one but I'll
probably just download it.

tribe called quest is hippy rap. Why? cause they have dred
locks and wear Africa clothes, I don't know. De la soul was
hippy rap. Thats what they call it. It's ok, I guess, but
rap is shit a;; in a;;

so you all agree with me that it is all cool to rap about
tuff stuff like being bad, but that it sucks when you really
are a criminal that has temper and storms the stage when you
dont win a best newcomer price? great

i dont get it: does marlowe live in the uk or the states,
because this makes me think the latter, but he did move in
with skink, who, as i conclude from the pictures lives in
the uk??

Keep your narrow-minded thoughts to yourself in future will
you? Your comments about 'hippy rap' are not what you
recieved backlash for, just your blatent and ignorant
disregard for an entire genre of music.

rap itself is great, love it.....but when its all just "yo
nigga, catch a hoe by its toe, let a cap hit yo bitch
ass...so you can sit on my dick yes"...these days people
like 50 cent are getting 100% more credit than they deserve,
the being shot 9 times story was actually just marketing
hype, i mean true it was, but used to market him effectively
as a gangster rapper....but come on the guy slurs and
mumbles when he talks, he reminds me of my little brother
when he was 3. plus he has an ape head...like really bad
monkey look going on....plus he cant dance, he justs stands
there, plus his voice sounds fuct up....plus you can tell he
had absolutely no influence on the album content....so
basically 50cent sucks, fuck everyone who likes him, how can
you like a fucking 3 year old in a gorillas body....? he is
so dumb it makes me mad

Only faggots refer to it as "hippy rap".

the sickness of our society to raise 50cent to
stardom....shows what we look for in people.......
checklist for stupid hos;

1) got shot (he is tough)
2) wears a 2kg diamond in ear ($$$)
3) drinks the most expensive (has taste)
4) does what he wants (strong minded)
5) he raps like mad (he fucks like mad)

checklist for a normal person;

1) got shot (he is a dumbass)
2) wears a 2kg diamond in ear (aint gonna have $$$ much
longer)
3) drinks the most expensive (thinks it makes him look
tasteful)
4) does what he wants (doesnt give a fuck about consequence,
hence got shot 9 times)
5) he raps like mad (he fucks like mad)

you see, when you reason things out like that, u see he's
just a monkey with a microphone, oh hail the monkeyboy...
