Can anyone fill me in on developments in electronic music
since, say, 1995. I used to buy a lot of records, but since
95, I've only really purchased what I was familiar with:
Aphex Twin, Orbital, Autechre, U Ziq, Link/Global
Communication, Black Dog, FSOL, The Orb, DJ Shadow, Sabres
of Paradise, LFO, Biosphere, A Guy Called Gerald,
Underworld, Plastikman. Since then I've picked up a couple
of Squarepusher LPs, all of BoC's released stuff, Susumu
Yakota, and a Richard Devine LP. Recently a guy in my
village has leant me Bent, Royksopp and Prefuse 73, and it
has encouraged me to try and see what's going on in music
now, and try and stop myself turning into an old
fuddy-duddy. Any suggestions are welcome.

You're fairly up to speed then really.

You see, I normally buy old stuff, like Pink Floyd, The
Smiths, REM, U2, and all kinds of guitar stuff. So I've sort
of missed out on all the electronic stuff. There did used to
be a section in NME called 'Vibes' which kept me up to
speed, but then NME realised that all their indie-mad
readers didn't like it, so they replaced it.

Listen to the Dandy Warhols.
Listen to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Listen to Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Let my flashing avatar seduce and hypnotize you.
