yes, I also thought that that's björk's voice on aussois! it really sounds like björk. but i don't think that's björk on mount saint michel. by the way, the title is an hommage to satie's 'Rose+Croix' pieces... the + is not really an 'and' but a kind of this cross + in mt saint michel+saint michaels mount. it's a quote like philip glass' music in the shape of a square was a quote of satie's music in shape of a pear. and it's also interesting to compare mt saint michel to girl boy song... it is in fact a kind of another girl boy song, but in this case the two elements are not really coexisting. the girl element (the beautiful innocent voice) is in the end fragmented and destroyed by the boy element (the rythmic part)... it even sounds symbolic. like the destruction of beauty, innocence and peacefulness in human nature by the violent side of human nature. |
