One day did a soldier, !, make his way along a dusty street
in the ancient city of Naples. Verily did he command the
people with his tyrannical orders until he came across a
pious hunchback, ?, who spent his time amongst the people
making inquiries and seeking enlightenment and information.

And yay did the soldier command the hunchback to cease his
iniquities, and to straighten his back to become more like
the Soldier.

"Nay," replied the Hunchback, who was called ?. "I cannot
accede to thee, !, for then I would lose the respect of
nature, and I would be no more than a mindless stooge."

"Thou darest to refuse my orders!" roared the soldier, !. "I
shall smite thee down."

And that he did.

And that, children, is the story of how we came to be how we
are today.

Are you implying that we are the derived from the hunchback?
If so then who is the soldier? Or is the hunchback a
metaphore for a particular country or something? ;)

I stole it from Crowley's story, "The Hunchback and the
Soldier". Naturally, since I made it up as I went along,
it's not a patch on his original :@

One day did a poster, Marlowe, make his prescence felt on a
dusty site in the ancient way of web. Verily did he bemuse
the people with his bizarre threads until he came across a
fellow nutcase, Thad, who spent his time amongst the people
making inquiries and seeking enlightenment and information.

And yay did Marlowe command the hunchback to cease his
iniquities, and to straighten his back and open up wide.

"Nay," replied Thad, who was called recycle. "I cannot
accede to thee, Marlowe, for then I would lose the respect
of xltronic'ers, and I would be no more than a mindless
gimp."

"Thou darest to refuse my orders!" roared the poster,
Marlowe. "I
shall smite Thad down."

And that he did.

And that, children, is the story of how we came to be have
two loonies today.

I'm a cross-breed between the two actually. It's called
being a Virgo.

You know my feelings about being a Virgo. I'm certainly no
full-blooded ! tho. No chance
