You Know

Richard D. James on 2001-11-02 02:42 [#00047840]

You know that film The Fith Element, you know the scene
where Bruce Willis' character Korben or whatever is hanging
around the fridge in his room, his small house, and he's
getting milk or something out of the fridge and his cat
purs, the music playing during this sounds exactly like
Aphex Twin's Ventolin (Marazavose Mix Edit), do you know
what I'm talking about? It sounds exactly like it.

luke on 2001-11-02 02:49 [#00047845]

why don't you sue ..

Korben Dallas

Baron Von Picklefoot from My special place ! on 2001-11-02 02:50 [#00047846]

Hmmmmm I think your crazy I think we need to build a giant
ark and fill it with 2 of every smurf !!!THE BARON HAS
SPOKEN!

luke on 2001-11-02 02:51 [#00047847]

cool idea though .. i mean not the plot, but the like
setting of that movie: i like that sort of shit - blade
runner (again same thing you know) - like future, but in a
like non sterile (aka space oddyseey kind of way)

Richard D. James on 2001-11-02 02:56 [#00047851]

I'm serious though, go watch the film, watch that scene and
then listen to my song and it sounds almost identicle.

luke on 2001-11-02 04:37 [#00047870]

ALMOST! -

Its quite cool making conceptually driven music, like you
know, like imagining shit (like fifth element) and then like
making music to fit the mental picture. That is what I
strive to master, to get the mental picture/music output as
good and accurate as possible,

Soil on 2001-11-02 07:41 [#00047886]

ugh, what a horrible movie.

Aktium from bat country on 2001-11-02 07:48 [#00047888]

i'd check up on that. it probably is. Aphex twin works
extremley good on films. my buddy makes independent films
and wants me to put my own music to the scenes but whenever
i see a certain scene i think of a few songs by you that
will work perfectly. i told him to try a track off saw2 for
this one scene but he decided that it made it too depressing
(even though it is a depressing part) so he decided to use a
smashing pumpkins song instead , fucking wanker. and i have
been trying to figure out what chairs would look like if our
knees bent the opposite way...give me some feedback on that.

Aktium from bat country on 2001-11-02 07:50 [#00047890]

ya, by the way that movie sucks, if they did use that song i
would sue just because that song isn't worthy enough to be
in that movie.

Maytag from Durham,NH USA on 2001-11-02 07:54 [#00047892]

Chris Tucker does 2 of his "AAAAAAAAAA!" screams in that
movie, where he sounds exactly like a hysterical woman,
making that worth the price of admission alone.

Richard D. James on 2001-11-03 04:41 [#00048182]

Yeah, the movie does suck, that was the first time I liked
Milla Jovovich though, you know that crying cab scene, and
the music, I don't think you're taking this serious, it is
exactly like it except it doesn't have that sort of drill
noise running through it, the song's on the soundtrack to
the playstation game, it sucks too, and it doesn't credit
me, just go rent the film out, you'll see.

Loogie from UK on 2001-11-03 12:18 [#00048247]

The cat in that scene when it's watching TV looks really
cross-eyed, well funny

Richard D. James on 2001-11-03 12:42 [#00048250]

So now you heard the song? I really don't know if it sounds
like it, I'm going by memory, it probably sounds nothing
like it, does it though?

Richard D. James on 2001-11-14 20:30 [#00052061]

You know. I'm serious, it sounds the same, I think.

Tak-psychology on 2001-11-15 00:55 [#00052110]

Hey baron, would you force each smurf to mate with their
pairs? Or would it be a heafty gangbang'd one poor ole'
smurfette?

Cause thats the only way I could see them breeding.

Quadrapelegicrobotikev from mp3.com/quadrapelegicrobotik on 2001-11-15 01:17 [#00052117]

the fifth element was a pretty decent flick

Centurix from Melbourne on 2001-11-15 01:31 [#00052123]

Add another one to Tricky's acting portfolio. Good flick.

I've noticed a rise in appearances of musicians in films
lately. Goldie in Snatch, Carl Cox in Human Traffic. There
any others?

jedy from ireland on 2001-11-16 10:22 [#00052663]

goldie is also in "the world is not enought"
