The new MF Doom project. Highly recommended for fans of
Operation Doomsday or MF Grimm's; Downfall Of Iblis..

Doom is King Geedorah on this album.. a space monster
observing humans. Lots of special guests and monster movie
beats..

[Sample Tracks]
[05] Monster Zero
[06] Next Levels

If you've never hear MF Doom and you are a fan of Dr Octagon
or Quasimoto, then I suggest you check him out.

Is this like Dr. Octagon? a weird hiphop persona?

exactly. MF Doom.. is a weird guy. He has lots of different
personalities. As MF Doom he always wears a metal mask, for
live shows, interviews, etc.. [that persona is a
scientist-turned-villan via an explosion in the lab that
mutated his face(?)]

yea, weird without a doubt. i like how PDT had to put a
little red flag in the title so most people will skip the
topic.. haha! shame though.

the lore is from the marvel comic villain Dr. Doom (see
spider-man and fantastic 4). did you like the madvillain
project w/ madlib? i thought it was very good but too short.

yes exactly; the bad genre of music. nice new avatar!

"yavo" i think it's a bit out of the ordinary, and the fact
that his whole rap persona is based on comic book characters
and similar ilk is odd too

It's anything but out of the ordinairy if you ask me as most
rap stars are cartoony anyway. They're probably not as geeky
looking as that sad git. For all I know the music could be
mindblowing but it's a bit off putting dun cha fink?

Thanks - it's of my favourite Saint, Francis (which is my
middle name). I like how he renounced wealth and material
possessions and went to live in a hut amongst the flora and
fauna ! Well, that's what the Legend sayeth !

yea but most rappers who are silly don't realize it or won't
admit to it.. this guy, like a few others i could mention,
does it on purpose as an actual persona, not an accidental
appearence of idiocy (which might happen if he didn't beat
us to the punch and rap as a comic book villain).

who do we have to blame for this perception of all of
hiphop?? it's really irritating.

I ordered this album along w/ little brother's recently..
they havent arrived yet.. the order is coming with
"nastraDOOMus" another nas remix project.

I've been listening to a lot more hiphop recently.. I bought
the first black moon album.. the new gangstarr
(yaaaaaaawwwn!) and madlib's blue note catalog remix album..
I got a promo w/ a lot of jaylib and madvillian shit on it
too.. so I'm all about madlib and doom right now

blame the labels that market lowest common denominator
hip-hop to the lowest common denominator. (don't hate the
player, hate the game.)

little brother's album is supposed to be amazing. let me
know how you like it. i guess you didn't get the 9th wonder
god's stepson remix album?

i heard a couple of those nastradoomus tracks, they were
tight. this nas remix thing is getting out of hand though.

i'd have to disagree with your judgment of the gang starr
album but i'm not sure what you were expecting. the new
madlib blue note album isn't very hip-hop, it's kind of nice
to chill out to. the hip-hop i've been listening to lately
includes quannum's d sharp june session (winter/spring 2003
mix cd with exclusive and rare quannum tracks), dead prez's
debut, and some fog remixes of hip-hop tracks.

hey I've had that quannum thing for months still sealed.. I
get a LOT of promo shit that I never pay any attention to..
maybe this is worth it?

I do have the 'god's stepson' cd.. I love it.. that so many
artists are remixing nas' work is very telling.. it says a
lot about nas

premier is capable of much more/better than 'same team, no
games' and a lot of other beyond minimalist nothing beats

why the 'tailfeather' avatar\

well i just said i've been listening to it and it has
exclusive and rare tracks.. i mean at least open it up and
listen once

primo has so many great beats on 'the ownerz' i can't even
start naming them.. ok you can pick the worst track or worst
3 tracks but then what? maybe you're just not feeling gang
starr for some reason but for a lot of us this is a really
solid album (doesn't need to be experimental or glitzy..
gang starr has always been about that rawness)

why this avatar? because nelly looks absolutely retarded.

I like some of it.. like I'm getting into it a little more
with each listen.. "deadly habitz" the singles "werdz from
the ghetto child" are the only ones that have really grabbed
me so far..

premier is one of my favorite producers in hiphop.. but he's
really coming up short on this one for me
