go plastic is the best by far...and i think do you know sp
is just a teaser while we wait for the next decent album.
hard normal daddy is cool but a bit jazzy.
budakhan (however you spell it) mindphone is a pile of wank

i found a song on kazaa called port rhombus, i don't know if
that is the correct name - but if it is, does anyone know
what album it is from? it's omega good.

offline martinhm from York (United Kingdom) on 2003-07-25 04:01 [#00793243]
Points: 1657 Status: Lurker

Port Rhombus was a single:
01 PORT RHOMBUS
02 PROBLEM CHILD
03 SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

But it also appears on the ECD version of Big Loada
available in the US.

You're right, you could just look all of this up instead.
Lazy...

i think music is rotted one note is HIGHLY underrated - so
many people slag it - but its so creative and ingenuitive -
the distorted guitarish melody that kicks in on the first
track just gives me a huge smile every time i hear it :D

Points: 720 Status: Addict | Followup to corticalstim: #00793317

i like it too. it took me a while to get in to it though.
the level of production in it is mind-blowing, considering
he played all the intruments himself; bass guitar, drums
etc. then sampled and manipulated those sounds, crazyness.
circular flexing is a particular favourite.

its jazz jim, but not as we no it ;)

yeah - the intricate details are amazing - i dont think
anyone really liked it the first listen though :P

the vocals in Shin Triad are so fucking great - and how the
synth corresponds with it - just makes me so fucking happy
:P its so playful and deliciously phat

and those high echoey wails in the background of Circular
Flexing send chills down my spine :)

Hearing that live was brilliant. Tom played his bass to all
the 303 parts and it sounded great

Seeing him live was intense. I met some of the most
itneresting people in the crowd. And i shouted out
"Squarepusher is the fucking daddy" and he shouted wayhey
back to me and gave me the thumbs up.

Ahh it was great

"my fucking sound" is vastly underrated here. The way he
lashed it in as his penultimate track on his GP tour before
spoiling us with "Angstrm Feck 4" is geniousity and genious
made flesh.
IIMMMMMMMMMM THE FAAAAAAAAAACKING DADDDDDDDYYYYY... bang

my fucking sound is the perfect title aswell! again, it took
a while to get in to that track, but its pretty fucking
mental, totaly "out-there". i love that little dub sample
near the end, genius.

not really, in my opinion. though, it is real nice when the
base kicks in.
But it's not even my fav big loada-track,
and that's all SP I own.

yeah I don't really like it either.
it's kinda good as backgroundmusic though...

I bought it because somebody said my music was very much
like Squarepusher's... I hadn't heard his music before
that...

"direct to mental" is the non-album track on "Alive in
Japan"...it bounces along like an ed209 falling down the
stairs
