I thought this board had many Lynch fans...
and I have to say Twin Peaks is romantic. though yeah, it's
a tv show.
But "Wild at heart", it's not just a sweet title; that movie
is real romantic!

Falling in Love with Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep was a
good one, as far as romantic movies go.

Cool! I'm glad you liked it too man. It is indeed a really
good film....... I actually do enjoy all the romance in it
and the fact that it's all about the wonder of love.........
I think I'm a bit of a sucker for that.

My favourite album is "Dog Man Star" by Suede. Again, it's
the incredible romance behind it that attracts me. The idea
that even if you're in the gutter, if you look up at the
stars and think of love then your perspective can change
completely.

Corny, I know. I can't help it. I'm a sucker for things
like that.

I loved Suede's debut album, but can't stand anything else
by them !

I liked the first album a lot too. After Butler left they
became utterly wank though. The new stuff is dreadful, they
seem to be getting worse and worse. The album they did in
99 (Head Music) was particularly piss-poor.

However, with Butler on board they produced some amazing
music in a short space of time IMO. The debut album is
class. I really do think DMS is a work of genius. And they
released a B Sides collection (Sci Fi Lullabies) the first
half of which featured Butler and was as good as the debut
album I reckon.

It's a bit like with the Smiths - produced some fantastic
music, then split up and everyone involved became a bit
shit.

vanilla sky was a good
romance-turned-lucid-dreaming-revelation movie.

and i just watched solaris last night. i don't think there
could have been one satisfying way to end that movie.

the two most quality modern romances i know are:

Amélie
Before Sunrise

the latter being my favorite Richard Linklater movie ever.
Ethan Hawk/Julia Delpy...excellent, you'll love it. don't
pass it up.
