The song by the Who...

its a great song, but there is just one thing that drives me
nuts, everytime I hear it... and I dont know WHY it
happens...

right when the drums come in at the beggining of the song,
it slows down considerably. Like, not just the drums are
slower then the synth thats being played... but the drums
come in on tempo, and slow down, and the rest of the song
stays like that.

WHY?!?!

ITS DRIVING ME NUTS

Was it on purpose? A mistake? Kind of a big mistake to
overlook...

It's almost guaranteed to be deliberate

That song... is ''awkward''. There's like a dozen things in
it that annoy me. But the sum is greater than the parts, at
the end of the day, I love it in it's weirdness.

But give Pete some credit, Mr. Nose wouldn't have left it in
if it wasn't deliberate! The guy was an neat freak.

I haven't heard the track, but I'm possibly getting the jist
of what you mean. Fairly similar things annoy me about Ae's
'Fold 4, Wrap 5' and Black Sabbath's 'Snowblind'.

Most people think the track is called "teenage wasteland"
because that is what Roger Daltrey howls over and over in
the refrain.

I hate Keith Moons drumming... it's just too over the top...
it annoys me to no end!

I had two Who albums, and sold them... they're just not for
me!

Keith Moon was not noted for his subtlety, but listen to his
playing on Live at Leeds - it's raging!
