i was on a school trip in london last week, to go and see the Musical "Les Miserables". It was awful, so over the top it was unbelievable! Me and my 2 friends were the only ones not to stand up while clapping at the end. The performers performed well, but what they were performing was awful :-/ I'm sure lots of people just liked it because everyone else seemed to. We were talking to another boy from our music class, and when we said it was crap he called us "saddos"..... lol, i laughed so much. hmmm 2am, got school 2moro (2day!!).... |

And we are pressured to remain somewhat selfish throughout our life by having the 'keep up with the Joneses' mentality thrust in our faces almost constantly. It would be interesting to see what would happen if these were taken away. The only Selfishness we have is Self-Preservation. Seeing as most selfless acts won't end in death or maiming, I doubt this instinct would kill in. The Selfish Gene doesn't refer to our whole, but merely to making sure our DNA lasts one more generation. |
