 | i am sure there are generalizations about the sexuality of a personality that are quite accurate because they are based
on common observations. but the nature of a generalization
is that there are invariably exceptions to the rule.

so i say yes there are, in general, male and female
personalities, the level of femininity or masculinity
varying between individuals in a given population.

 | i don't think so. at least not entirely. from an evolutionary standpoint, it would make sense that males try
to mate with as many females as possible (a general male
personality) and females try to find a good provider for
their offspring (a general female personality). This
ensures that the male maximizes the distribution of his seed
and the female maximizes the probablility of her offspring
maturing to the age of fertility.
thus promoting the proliferation of the species in question.

it becomes more complex in humans of course but when broken
down, the behaviors are paralleled in all primates and most
 higher animal lifeforms.

 | The are mad psychological differences between the majority of males and females, the hormonal
differences alone make a big difference but also
evolutionary development has led to differences.

You personality is defined upon how you think and act in
given situations...so personality wise their is a large
difference in most cases...obviously faggots (who clinically
have different hormone patterns to straight males) act more
feminine and lesbo's act more masculine...that is not
through choice it is just the physical defect they have to
 live with.

 | i believe there are definate differences in the psyches of men and women.

i don't think this is a bad thing or something that should
be ignored or condemed, it should be celebrated. neither is
 right or wrong.

men and women go about solving problems in different ways
and that's a good thing. i'm glad men and women are
different... kinda makes things work. i think most of the
differences can be attributed to evolution, although
society's influence is deffinately strong as well. to
assume that the differences are only physical is wrong imo.

i'm pretty sure it's been well documented that men and
women, given the same set of problems go through different
thought processes to solve them. although i don't really
feel like looking up the experiments right now.

 | first and foremost, the human male species (and i do think that a definitive division into separate male and female
species is in order) tend to be far less intelligent than
 their female counterparts.

all in all, those cursed with having something dangling
between their legs are statistically far more emotionally
volnurable (ie. males have a greater likelihood of
developing a mental illness, as well as carrying out a
 successful suicide attempt).

furthermore, males are generally of weaker health and thus
typically have a shorter lifespan than females.

in regards to their relation to one another, while males do
have a tendency to treat the opposite sex as objects, women
on the other hand balance this out by treating males as
their subjects, thereby asserting the superiority of females
 over males.

and to think that all of this (and all of life for that
matter) really comes down to a single point: the
 continuation of the species! =)

now where's my shotgun? time to take myself out of the
 genepool! j/k

 | yin and yang. one isn't 'more' intelligent than the other. just different ways of dealing with things and interpreting
 the world.

men seem to be better with spacial relations type things...
schematics and whatnot. women tend to be more in tune with
emotional/nurturing type deals. of course, there are always
 exceptions.

(don't flame me for stereotyping please)

it's society that likes to try and assign the values of
 'right' and 'wrong' to things.

 | why better?
don't fall into the trap of listening to society. fifty
years ago (in america at least) society tried to teach that
men were stronger/better than women, now the pendulum is
trying to swing the other way. wouldn't things be better if
everyone agreed that we are different, but there isn't any
'better' or 'worse'? these are just concepts that society
tries to install to influence people.

 | i think it is a combination of "brainwashing" by society, teaching you to act certain ways, but there are probably
genetic differences (or something) that affect peoples
personalities as well. in nature male and female animals
have different roles their society, so it is probably at
 least partially natural.

 | No...but to further their own causes, females like to generalise and say that all men are hard, cold, boors and
males like to generalise and say that women are sentimental
 nags.

But inspite of that, there are some traits that can in
general be applied to men and women respectively. Exceptions
to the rules abound, but they are more exceptions to the
 rule.

Personaly I get very emotional periods, I get very tired and

there was no cheese. So what did I do? I cried my fucking
