Both guys have been veering towards unlistenablity for a
while now...but such is my faith that I shall cross my
fingers and hope that this one turns out better.

smojphace sampled >[], there you go, a crap ass collab.

Well, what about "whe are reasonable people" a quite boring
collab between the two. Still, i really can't believe it.
What source could possibly be so high and mighty that you
can't reveal it?

I thought the collaboration between AFX and Squarepusher
before was tres bon!

Especially the closing minutes.

thats the amen drum loop from a song by the winstons from
the 70s. that has been sampled 1,000,000 of times by 1,000s
of producers.

"Especially the closing minutes."

the first 1/2 of the track is all tom j, then rdj finished
it up and did the last half. the splitting point is audible.
litterally it was a halfassed collaboration.

offline Murray from Southend, Essex (United Kingdom) on 2003-07-17 09:16 [#00783246]
Points: 4891 Status: Lurker

Well i guess that shows my loyalty towards the artist. The
first half is nice. But not much happens. Aphex kicks it up
and filters the beat and puts in the deep melody. And then
the nice bit of extra granular synthesis at the end :)

My My mr pomme, you are in the know

:D:D:D

anyway "freeman hardy & willis acid" from wap100 IMO is a
killer track from 95-96, can't really compare with what they
are up to now

eXXXellent news that i hope is goin to be confirmed for this
year and not pulled back to hell...

ps : btw amen andrews vol.1 is killer-top-notch-fuck-amazing

i dont' believe that we are speaking the same language, the
break found in the smoj track (at the time i stated before,
as well as the beginning of the track) is the same from >[]
anstromm feck track (slight sequencing diff).

amen drum loop? i need a source that defines this name /w
this loop.

1) yeah its also the same break thats on every song on
burning 'n tree.. and the same break from 'Casualties of
War' by Eric B & Rakim and 'Straight Outta Compton' by NWA
and the same break that was in every drum and bass track
made between 95 - 97.

you're just saying that because you bought smojphace and you
thought you were eventually gonna like the noise tracks, but
after listening to it more and more it started to sound
worse and worse, but you already made a wrong statement here
so now you were forced to stick with that thought untill
noise will kill your brain.

hahaha, im listening to ktpal1 now !!
just listened to the "run the place" remix
and off to the ktpal2 next

they are crazy fucked up pieces of shit tracks (the 2 noise
tracks) but i love them

AND...you can assume all other men releases will also have
noise tracks.

yes, you can assume, but I think smojphace is meant to be a
joke.
Think about it: he released 2 remixes by AFX, then he
releases 26 remixes for cash which probably turned out to be
more of a succes than he expected. So what does he do? He
releases ANOTHER remix (which is a good one and he knows it)
together with two fucked up noise tracks that he both
created in a half an hour. If people will buy this, he
thinks, people will buy everything. This is just another
example for him that proves that he's still god.
