I never realised how much Ae tracks are messed up by
MP3...I have bought all their stuff on CD but I can't find
draft and I wanted to listen to iv vv iv vv vii so I
downloaded it twice now and both copies are terrible...

Lesson from this, always buy Ae shit on CD otherwise you are
missing out.

the problem with draft is that most of the mp3 rips out
there were rendered from the cassette promo that was
released in advance..

there are higher quality rips (from the cd) out there.

but yeah, even after that it's gonna sound better off the
actual cd.

You also tend to listen to MP3s on your computer w/ bad
speakers and to CDs on your nice Hi-Fi system with a correct
amp and good speakers.

But it's also true that Ae is well known to be hard to
encode with pyschoacoustic techniques (MP3) - all the
glitchy stuff in general because of the temporal masking
effects.

your hi-fi ;)

If you don't have a very audiophile soundcard, you still
have all the electromagnetic noise from your PC... The
ultimate test is to burn a cd with a MP3 version and the
original version and play randomly the two tracks.

and mr de terre, I'm back in France - I'm done with all your
white trash bigotery ( or call it southern hospitality ).
