have you been to other messageboards? I have, still do.........95% of those are idiots, with stupid not clever signatures and every third post is (LETS SEE PICTURES OF MEMBERS) This is far and away the most educated and opinionated, yet tempermental mb I've ever seen, all without being snotty. If I'm going to spend a lot fo time on the internet, you damn well better believe it's going to be here. =) |

I dunno. I couldn't go too long without the net now. I went on holiday and didn't miss it, but coming back home I just fell into being on it all the time again. As for this place specifically, well a few times I've had enough of the crap being posted and gone looking at other boards, but they seem either empty or even more childish and I've been here for ages now so fuck it. |

oh, it is definetly important. There is so much beauty in this world, sometimes you have to look for it, but it's there. I spend the time everyone else I know is out drinking/taking drugs, here. So I don't feel like I'm wasting my time. I don't spend time in front of the TV, so I'm not just hooked up to the sound. This really is a great place to participate, watch and learn, and I don't think there is anything to be ashamed about that. |

i think our friendships here on the board are more fruitfull/productive than many peoples real life friendships.. I mean.. there are maybe 2 friends in real life that i can have the types of discussions that i have on here. I mean.. who gives a shit if I've never seen any of you people? Not to mention how unbelievably cool it is that we all come from all over the world. We aren't freaks.. except for nacmat. |

I was not asking for US in this MB ... but for US all using the internet MBs so much I dont really care if it is ythis one or other... and I am not talking about our attitude in these mbs... just worried about the fact that part of our lifes (and really a huge part) are based on cyber relationships, this is, conversations on the net with unknown people... are we lonely people in our "real lifes"? |

I kind of need the internet, I'm so hopelessly anti-social in real life. I don't feel I'm wasting time or anything, even with... groan... 10k posts. Anyway, it's fun and I like it here, so it's cool with me. And I don't take it too seriously. I never go around complaining ''oh my God, the board is dying, boo hoo, what can we do to fix it'' like so many others when things are irritating. It ebbs and flows, I just go with it.
