i've been reading a load of ee cummings lately and it
affects greatly the style in which i write( the way i think
even ),so these two pieces i think deserve this disclaimer,
which is a practice (disclaiming) i usually disagree with
but fuck it: the style of these poems is one absorbed and
one that pays its thanks to cummings...thanks to you who
have doubtless started a worm farm of your own by
now...anywayhere's'em:

1.

eyes leapin'
to shades;
foreign...
after new
nap art.

today's had
me accident
ally memori
zed...like a
nun wanted pH
one number.

so mother birds
her young,
further learns
my lung.
permanent burn's
our tongue,

and i sleep
into shade...
for an
afternoon
apart

---------------------------------------------

2.

oh cleanest and
soberest am,
not for the last
half a while, has
been mistaken
when it is as:

i spent,
in some reach behind
my back two years,
a nights--or so--
caffein
g with cups,
and some coff
in' e'ery morn
in'; but cre am
and sug are
for me to get ups.

then, soloft
y this day's now,
a zee to soft
en the cups' blow--
one and a half of
one is one
hunnert fitty;
such numbers turn
today to past
el yellow.

last, 20--but yet,
as of now,the keen
est--milligrams of, i
am fed, a mean
mess of energy's lie;
it sticks to my
throat, is swallow in
nest, but sets the ladder tall,
keeps airythings high
w/out bein' hollow, 'n
manages to makem atterall.

------------------------------------------------

thanks for all your all times, popes, peace

nice - i like the choppy structure of it - suits the
lyrical structure and imagery of the poems

nice.. i am a big fan of cummings poems, and i really like
these too.. i ejoyed the parts about how a "nun wanted pH
one number"
very interesting.. nice work..
i've also got some in a somewhat similar,
cummings-influenced style as well.. i've been writing tons
lately, they are located here if you or anyone
else is interested.

it's allways fun to read some creative, interesting poetry
on the board..

i get it now.. i like how this stuff can be interpreted many
different ways, just how by how you read it..

yeah...maybe i should say something about the second one,
seeing how it has a lot to do with personal stuffs: i was
arrested for selling pot plant last nov and have been sober
ever since...this poem refers to the time i've been
'sober'...i've been disagreeing with the validity of my
supposed sobriety lately because of the daily legal drugs
i've been doing/prescribed...all of these three drugs and
the dosages are hidden in the three parts of the
poem....solvent
