This is for all the people that aren't in the top 15, by the way. Don't want anyone to get in trouble.
Since all the songs on cichlisuite are remixes of cichli (or at least that's what i remember) then a remix of any song off this would be like a double remix. Wow, that was so non-thought provoking and pointless. Sorry, just thought of this.
So yeah, cichlisuite is a good cd, and if you were a cd, you probably would be too...

here's where i read it
Consisting of five tracks which are manipulated versions of "Cichli," off of the album "Chiastic Slide," each track sounds nothing alike other than the fact that they have a beat.

It does say "mechanically reclaimed by autechre" on the cover as well. reclaimed being the point of focus here.

they've actually talked about that in an interview.. they arent remixes.. but they were all started in the same way..
im not sure of the exact details, but it has to do with their process of making tracks.. where they start off with a set of parameters/sounds/ideas, etc. and they develop it from there..
apparently all the tracks on the ep were started the same way as cichli, but were evolved into completely different tracks.
thats what i remember at least, i may be somewhat off on some points.

yeh cichlisuite is all remixes of cichli, but when ae says 'remix' it is just tracks based on the same concept and mathmatical structure, not remixes in a normal sense of the word anyway.
all of their eps are based on a single one of these "concepts" so in theory, each ep is a set of remixes, or reconstructions, whatever.
anyway, number 114 is a remix of pencha. there might be others but i didnt recognise them.

same goes for "envane".
all tracks made from the same startingpoint, something to do with ratio's, if I remember correctly.

I remixed "tilapia" (the last chichlisuite track). It's called "pia" at www.zebox.com/norfzorf
