so whats your favourite go to sleep album? if you're
anything like me you always have the headphones on in bed,
hoping to drift into neverneverland with ther music of your
choice. so what is it?

I usually have 'up all night' on radio 5 or 4 or whatever it
is.. topical chat on all sorts of crap.

I really wish Alan Partidge did 'norfolk nights' at bed
time..

i can't sleep w/ music on cos i fixate on it no matter how
basic or bad it is.. the exception is when i am listening in
the dark to something w/ headphones, when i'm tired i always
fall asleep with them blaring.

If you're reffering to SAW II i'm going to have to agree.

I find myself going to sleep to Cex's "Oops I did it Again
album" more and more lately. It's smooth sailing after the
"who's that naked man cooking eggs in our kitchen?" bit

now that people can burn mix cd's at home and car audio is a
big thing, young people don't really listen to the radio..
it's only the old fuddy duddies who want classic rock or
oldies who tune in. before i got a cd player in the car i
listened to the radio for a while (rock, hip-hop, community
owned jazz, and college) and it was pretty decent but not
great (except college but that could be improved too).
community radio is rare and usually restricted to talk or
one style of music; college radio is a crapshoot, i'm lucky
to be in range of a good one (http://wmuc.umd.edu). we don't
have anything like the BBC unfortunately. a lot of
americans, not just us music snobs, are becoming disgusted
with the monopoly and stale format of radio and are really
relying on mix cd's or albums.

If it is just electronic music...then it would be the latter
half of Tri Repetae...or Biosphere's Substrata.

I used to listen a lot in the nights the Painting on
glass
album by the norwegian band The 3rd and the Mortal
some years ago. I agree with many of you, SAW II is amazing,
great for read and prepare your body and mind for a quiet
night.

listening to druqks is great when youre a stoned sleeper.
but since im not falling asleep easily i need really spheric
stuff like vladislav delays conoco or selected ambient works
cdr. rhubarb is like one of the best songs for me... i
eagerly need new stuff like that, maybe i make a new
compilation with my little sister spheres and similar stuff.

I've been falling asleep to Drukqs sometimes, even in the
most intense parts. You usually wake up, and feel weird
though.

Confield makes me trip out when I fall asleep to it. So does
Tri Repetae.

Also, Vladislav Delay's Multila and Anima are amazing to
mong out to.
Has anyone else heard two albums? I SERIOUSLY recommend
them.
