On the way to giginger's house party I was playing Ae-
Garbage on my car stereo with the windows down and a kid
(about 12) shouted "Turn it up" from another car. I shouted
the name of the band and ep to him and told him to get a
copy and he gave me a thumbs up.

you should check out venetian snares- dismantling 5 years, i
read the other one about checking out ambient. he's also got
a couple on winter in the belly of a snake, kind of creepy
tracks though. dismantling 5 years is really calm and warm
though.

I had a fight in my house before cause my mate was drunk and
wouldn't leave, I swatted him with my Druqks Vinyl and he
left crying and bleeding.

2nd semester of college, we had to bring in a song we liked,
and discuss it with class.

This was an arranging class, so it was lots of jazz, rock,
blah blah... and so i played Bucaphalous Bouncing Ball, by
Aphex Twin.

The horror on those jazz-heads faces was priceless :-D

A little while after I heard Windowlicker but hadn't got
into Aphex Twin nor IDM, I told my friend (Xtal) about it
and he downloaded it... loved it, now Aphex is probably his
favourite artist. He hasn't really got into much other IDM
to my knowledge..shame that.

Driving home in a fucking bad mood. Only had a mix cd in the
car so flicked it to Gantz Graf and played that all the way
home. 3.5 plays. I had it at full volume and my window wide
open as I was smoking. Got to the top if my road and there
was bunch of cunts hanging around trying to look hard. They
all stopped what they were doing and just stared at me and
the car. I just revved big time and lurched forward. I
stopped where they HAD been standing and shouted at them to
get the fuck away from my road and to not fucking stare at
me again. I feel it was an IDM victory as the power of Gantz
Graf was flowing through me and the sounds coming from my
car stunned them into silence.

I played "Flim" for a religion class.

I had to explain it's special meaning, or something to that
effect. I made up a big idea about the lows and the highs
contrasting.

Anyway, a couple kids were like, !

What's wrong with Jazz? Jazz is fucking great. You want
complex music? Go find some proper jazz.

i do like some jazz... thats not the issue...

see, here at my school, jazz people are the big big big
majority, and electronic people are in the minority.

And damn, alot of jazz people are the most narrow minded
elitist pricks ive ever met.

I just enjoyed watching their faces is all
