Yep the 15 hour re-encoding I have done in the past to get
around the copy protection has been a pain in the arse...but
I suppose I shouldn't have copy protected my own home movies
in the past should I :)

I wish I could play vcd's on my dvd. It says I can, but when
I checked the model on that site everyone who owned the
model was moaning just like me they couldn't. Apparently you
need a certain make of cd-r's which are only available in
Outer Mongolia.

I think it's Panasonic. It even SAYS on the bloody thing
"DVD/MP3/VCD Player" but I'm fucked if I could work it.

Sony DVD players are the same...says it will work with VCD's
etc...but I've not found one that works yet.

I haven't found one better than this one.
Easy to use hypercostumizable.

First run your dvd in your regular dvd viewing program and
then start up Easydivx.

I use it to back up all my dvd's!

Yay! This saved me making a thread. I promise someone some
movies to try out. I also promised them a zip file of Sylvia
Saint.
