Just a question... does anyone here know of some places
that will review underground music? preferably online
places, but screw being picky and choosy.

i know of overload media... any others?

Why do you need to get reviews on your albums? Why is it so
important to you?

i'm just thinking it's a affordable means of publicizing
your album without spamming... if someone sees a decent
review for something, there's a good chance they may
purchase it.

i'm really desperate right now. i sold one album last month,
and i told all my friends.

i really just want people to give me some feedback... i'm a
working musician now, so i need all the help i can get.

posting on a messageboard and telling everyone I know isn't
going to work, so why not try a review or two... or three...
or ten... :-D

get noticed for your music --> record label signs u --> you
get money and recognition --> more time to make music -->
you get to shag beautiful women --> world domination

I hate to be the one to tell you straight, but your work
just isn't really that good. There is nothing to
distinguish you from every other wannabe musician in the
world. Sorry :(

working on that.

Well, i guess it really is a matter of taste. Many people
have said they like my music, but they're not IDM fans. And
I'm not IDM.

BlatantEcho recently said it best:
"it's not idm or dnb man, you aren't going to get shit for a

response

welcome to my hell"

I'm in the wrong place. That's the story of my life. :-D

Ok, I take it you have a couple of your own cd's hanging
around, send them to the magazines, fanzines, papers and
stuff also tell them it's a review copy, hopefully that
should work.

btw I don't only listen to idm and drum and bass i listen to
all sorts of stuff.

Anyways i hope that helps.

well if you feel like it, there's a link on this MB with
mp3's to download and samples to listen to, if you feel like
it.

Just look for the MY THIRD ALBUM one I posted.

I'd bump it up, but I don't feel like it.

I liked track 5 better it seemed to be put together nicely,
the only nehative thing i will say though is it all seems a
bit dry.

I quite enjoyed though nice work.

Oddioblender, are you signed to a label?

one that presses records and does press deals and stuff like
that?

the best way to get reviews and shit is to spend a LOT of
time beiung underground and unnoticed until you get so good
that labels cannot ignore you. when you're signed the rest
will follow

making music is, after all, about making music, not being
popular or being talked about or even liked.
if you're nmaking music to do interviews and to be on
magazines and shit liek that, then you're going about it the
wrong way.

BTW I'm in no way accusing you of this.

thanks op_step! you always make me feel better when I'm
irritated about something! :-)
You know, I guess I really shouldn't give a crap about what
anyone else thinks. I make music I like, and if no one else
likes it, then that's simply their opinion.

Skink, thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it!

Disasemble - I am on a DIY label. They don't give you
forwards -- you make all the money off sales of your music.
