does anyone else hunt there local thrift shops/ charity shops/ record stores for crappy old vinyl to sample? please if u do post the funniest/twisted/stupid records you've managed to 'rediscover'

my recent finds include 'amongst others' mr men stories vol. 1+2 st.marks primary school hymns (sounds twisted slowed down :] )
childrens nursery rhymes (sang by some old dude with an acustic and a beard, again, twisted)
space - sound effects by the bbc radiophonic department (woot!!!!)

yeah, i love that stuff
one of my favorites is a record i have called 'teach your bird to talk'

its just a female voice repeating words over and over again alternating right and left channels. supposedly you just put it on and leave your bird to listen to it.

My buddy also has a self hypnosis record that is supposed to help your breasts get larger. its pretty hillarious.

haha thats quality, the best i've heard is a record of ambient music to help get babies to sleep, it was recorded in the late 60's early 70's and it's wicked! my mate jon dropped it at a party at 5 in the morning for all the people coming down

cool.
other stuff i love is old news radio on vinyl. you get a lot of samples of famous speaches and stuff.

i also have a few steve martin live records from the 70's one of which i have sampled in dozens of my tracks for audience noises and for wierd steve martin soundeffects.

in the seattle area, there is a chain of used book stores called 'half price books.' they always have lots of great obscure vinyl for really cheap and if you return it within 30 days, you can get full in-store credit.
