I know it's great to support your favourite artists, and normally I do. Therefore, I can honestly proclaim that I am new to the CD ripping club.
There are a few µ-ziq releases that I'd like to put on CD-R, but I'd like to make some copies with a good brand of writeable CD. Any recommendations?
Also, is there a way to create a label that you can stick to the non-readable side of a CD-R disc? Do I need a scanner? Essentially, I would like to make a copy of Bluff Limbo and In Pine Effect in a way that would allow me to feel as though I have purchased the real deal.
Thank you as always mates.

Ripping is when you take music OFF of a CD and put it onto your computer. Burning is when you take music from you computer and put it ON a CD.

As for making labels, yeah, there are things called "CD Stompers" that scan the CD you are burning, and print out a sticker/label

fiding the right cdr is a matter of trail and error. although there are some brands which are best avoided, its usually dependant on your burner and your software. so find one thats right and stick to it. unless the company switches to another manufacturer, then find a different one. sorry, there's not much i can help you with.

I have a sony burner. I burn at 8X. Is there a website that contains labels? Do I need a special printer/paper?

Starters: cdrinfo.com, cdrlabs.com, cd-rw.org, and finally, CD Dye Qualities ...It's more of a CD Player compatibility thing with the type of dye used and quality of said dye. There are "special" pre-made label sticker sheets. Enjoy.

I would just need the images, so I could superimpose them onto store bought label.
